Learn how to recognise a food and beverage selling opportunity and the behaviours required to develop the opportunity into a sale.

Learning objectives
After the course participants will be able to:

  • Accept and appreciate the importance of ‘selling’ at an operational level
  • See themselves as sales people and not order takers
  • Take control and ask open ended questions to get guests’ buy in
  • Recognise the importance of knowing menu items and the consequences of not
  • Use descriptive adjectives to create mental pictures
  • Identify and focus on up selling high gross profit menu items
  • Sell through suggestion by always offering a choice of at least two items
  • Use props to help sell food and beverage
  • Increase their tips and confidence in selling
