Learning objectives
After the course participants will be able to:
- Accept and appreciate the importance of ‘selling’ at an operational level
- See themselves as sales people and not order takers
- Take control and ask open ended questions to get guests’ buy in
- Recognise the importance of knowing menu items and the consequences of not
- Use descriptive adjectives to create mental pictures
- Identify and focus on up selling high gross profit menu items
- Sell through suggestion by always offering a choice of at least two items
- Use props to help sell food and beverage
- Increase their tips and confidence in selling
